AWARDS SELECTION CRITERIA

MALAYSIA’S HEALTHIEST EMPLOYEES

The Malaysia’s Healthiest Workplace survey uses the scientific measure of “AIA Vitality Age”, which measures all aspects of health, including exercise, nutrition and stress, to calculate a person’s ‘health’ age as a comparison to their chronological age. The Healthiest Employees award is conferred to the winning company of which their workforce is considered healthiest, measured by the average difference between AIA Vitality Age and actual age. This category is based on the survey responses received from the employees of the participating organisations.

MALAYSIA’S HEALTHIEST EMPLOYER

The Healthiest Employer award is conferred to the winning company which has the best weighted score based on the provision and use of facilities, company culture, including employee usage of facilities and the overall nature of the work environment. This category is based on the inputs shared by both the employer and employees of the participating organisations.

MALAYSIA’S HEALTHIEST WORKPLACE

This award is conferred to the winning company which has the highest average score from the Healthiest Employer and Healthiest Employees categories, each being given equal weight.

MALAYSIA’S MOST IMPROVED WORKPLACE

This award is conferred to the winning company which has the highest average score of the most improvements made in their performance since 2018.

THE SURVEY PROCESS

1. REGISTRATION

An authorised representative needs to register their organisation to participate in the survey. Individual employees are not required to register their participation.

2. ORGANISATIONAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT

A representative from your organisation (such as the HR Director) must complete a 40-minute online organisational assessment.

3. EMPLOYEE PERSONAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT

Employees voluntarily complete this 20-minute online assessment of their own health and will immediately receive a report outlining their “AIA Vitality Age”, key lifestyle and health risks, and suggestions for improvement.

4. PERSONALISED ORGANISATIONAL HEALTH REPORT FOR PARTICIPATING COMPANIES

Upon completing the Survey, organisations will receive a personalised organisational health report outlining the health of your organisation and their employees to enable more targeted workplace interventions.
Over time, these interventions will improve employee engagement, establish more positive attitudes towards health and ultimately increase business productivity.

The organisational health report will be provided to qualified companies at the end of 2019.

For employees who complete the survey, they will immediately receive a personal health report once they have submitted their employee health survey.

5. EXPERT CONSULTATION

Where available, consultation can be arranged between the organisation’s HR team and the AIA team to discuss the organisation’s results and to provide recommendations for future well-being strategies.
